The No Azziziya package with Sh. Navaid Aziz and Sh. Omar Hindy starts our Hajj journey in the tranquil city of Medinah. Savor the peace and blessings of praying in Masjid Nabawi and relive moments of the Seerah with uplifting guided tours. With a few days remaining before the manasik of Hajj, we will have the opportunity to perform multiple Umrahs and Tawaafs with the comfort of our 5 Star hotel across the street. Guided tours of the city of the Prophet SAWS’s birth and inspiring lectures will help us achieve the mindset for Hajj.

Sheikh Navaid Aziz

Sheikh Navaid Aziz completed an Associate’s degree in Commerce and Social Sciences before heading to the illustrious Islamic University of Madinah. He went on to complete a diploma in the Arabic language as well as a Bachelor’s in Islamic Law, with a specialization in Fiqh and Usul Al-Fiqh. He is an instructor and the Director of Public Relations at AlMaghrib Institute. He is a passionate advocate for Muslim youth education and integration with a proven track record over the years. He is currently the Director of Religious and Social Services for the Islamic Information Society of Calgary, has volunteered as Islamic Editor for Little Explorers and Recess Kids magazines, serves as a youth and family counsellor, volunteered as chaplain at S.A.I.T, and became the first ever Muslim chaplain with the Calgary Police Services in 2015. His work includes helping in the mitigation of criminal radicalization and implementing civic engagement opportunities for youth.

Sheikh Mahmoud Omar

Sheikh Mahmoud Omar, Ph.D. Is Al-Azhar University graduate, majoring in the fundamentals of Islamic studies. Currently, he is an Imam at Al Rashid Mosque and head of the Islamic and Arabic Department at the Edmonton Islamic Academy. Some of his academic achievements are studying worldly religions (Judaism, Christianity & Islamic studies), the art of Dawah (Fiqh & the biography of the Prophet PBUH.), Islamic studies (Quran, Hadith, Tafseer, Aqeedah, etc..), Islamic creeds (Sunnah & Shia) – Fiqh, Fatwa council preparation of Fiqh (over 216 fatawa has been issued). Sh Mahmoud completed his Master’s degree affiliated with the Islamic University of Minnesota and his Ph.D. In the fundamentals of the religion with honours (Islamic University of Minnesota). In addition, Imam Mahmoud holds Ijazat in the major Hadith books, such as Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Muwatta, and Al Tirmidhi, and has studied these through a chain of narrators.

Ustadha Razia Hamidi

Razia Hamidi is a spiritual and relationship coach, university chaplain and consultant for non-profit organizations. As a community leader, teacher, and advocate, she supports women on their path to success through Islam. She leads by example, following her own dreams, including becoming the first female Muslim Chaplain in Quebec. She’s worked on national committees and boards to develop programs and leadership training focused on sustainable development for community growth, inspired positive grassroots campaigns, and worked 1:1 with individuals to spark lasting change at all levels. Razia is a celebrated speaker at conferences all over North America, focusing on leadership, self-development, and living with purpose. She believes by strengthening families first, society as a whole will grow stronger. She is currently completing her Alima studies and teaches classes on various Islamic topics. Razia has been featured on radio and television, including on CBC and CTV, speaking on topics of human rights and Islamaphobia as a representative of NCCM.
