Sheikh Mohamed Al-Masmari

Sheikh Mohamed Al-Masmari, has been a leading hajj groups as imam for many years. He was born and raised in Michigan and memorized the Qur’an at a very early age. He obtained his Bachelor/Master Degrees in Islamic Law & Islamic Science from Yemen. During his studies, he was able to obtain ijaazas in recitation & teaching of Al-Qur’an, Qur’anic Exegesis (Tafseer-ul-Qur’an), Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence), Sahih Bukhari & Muslim and Imam Nawwawi’s works such as the commentary to Sahih Muslim and Riyaad-us-Saliheen. He is currently the Imam and Khatib at Muslim Unity Center in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. Sheikh Mohamed Al-Masmari has been leading Hajj and Umrah trips for several years and Hilal Hajj is proud to have him on their team.

Sheikh Abdullah Waheed

Sheikh Abdullah Waheed was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI. He completed the memorization of the Holy Quran by the age of 12 and then went on to study in the 7 year extensive Shariah program in Toronto, Canada. Sheikh studied a rigorous curriculum covering the Arabic language and literature, Islamic jurisprudence, Tafseer of the Holy Qur’an, Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, and Aqeedah.
Sheikh Abdullah Waheed specializes in Tafseer of the Quran. He has spent several years to study the details and beauty of our Holy book understanding and mastering the language of Holy Quran. His latest projects include Seerah Intensive (a winter program focusing on seerah), associate of Islamic studies programs at the Miftaah institute (www.miftaah.org) as well as being involved in personally mentoring and teaching students at the Miftaah institute.
Sheikh Abdullah serves as an Instructor at Miftaah institute and is also the Director of Islamic Affairs at Flint Islamic Center. He travels across North America for khutbas, workshops, and seminars and is known for his motivational and enthusiastic style of speaking. He continues to lead Hajj groups and has guided several hujjaj through this life time journey.

Dr. Ateeq Haseeb

Dr. Ateeq Haseeb is a practicing Pediatric Neurologist in Toledo, OH serving children with epilepsy, autism, special needs, behavior problems as well as neurological disorders. In addition to his medical degrees, he also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Ross School of Business, University Of Michigan and is board certified in the fields of Child Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy. He is currently a member of the Board of Education for Toledo Islamic Academy (K-12 school) in Toledo, OH as well as serves on the Board for the Mercy Health Foundation.

Dr Haseeb is currently a student in the Associated of Islamic studies program at the Miftaah institute. He is passionate about serving the guests of Allah and has participated in Hajj and Umra trips for past few years. His experience, efficiency and knowledge will be very valuable to our team on various fronts to ultimately make your journey as comfortable as possible.

Ustadha Razia Hamidi

Razia Hamidi is a spiritual and relationship coach, university chaplain and consultant for non-profit organizations. As a community leader, teacher, and advocate, she supports women on their path to success through Islam. She leads by example, following her own dreams, including becoming the first female Muslim Chaplain in Quebec. She’s worked on national committees and boards to develop programs and leadership training focused on sustainable development for community growth, inspired positive grassroots campaigns, and worked 1:1 with individuals to spark lasting change at all levels. Razia is a celebrated speaker at conferences all over North America, focusing on leadership, self-development, and living with purpose. She believes by strengthening families first, society as a whole will grow stronger. She is currently completing her Alima studies and teaches classes on various Islamic topics. Razia has been featured on radio and television, including on CBC and CTV, speaking on topics of human rights and Islamaphobia as a representative of NCCM.
